The Positions:
We are seeking 10 Kitchen Hands to join our team at our Yallambee Lodge aged care home, located at 1 Binalong St COOMA NSW 2630
Each candidate will be engaged on a full-time basis (38 hours per week); however, we would consider part-time (a minimum of 30 hours per week) if that were the candidate’s preference.
The proposed commencement date for each successful candidate would be approximately September / October 2024.
The successful candidates will join our dynamic Team. Reporting to the Chef, you will be responsible for the Efficient and Effective operation of the Kitchen Department.
Key duties and responsibilities include.
*Action Cleaning Duties within the Kitchen, Food Preparation Area, and all eating Areas.
*General Pantry Duties and Maintaining Cleanliness of Pantry, Fridges and Freezer's.
*Ensure all Kitchen areas are kept clean and tidy according to the Current Health and Hygiene Regulations.
*Ensure Correct Handling of Chemicals and Equipment as per Manufacturer's instructions.
*Promote a safe workplace by recognizing hazards and Promoting general WHS practices.
*Handling of Disposal of Rubbish.
*Help the Chef and other Staff when needed.
*Meal preparation and Service
The successful candidates will have:
• A relevant qualification or the willingness to undertake on-the-job training.
• A genuine interest for working in aged care.
• An ability to communicate with a diverse range of people.
• A capacity to manage a diverse and demanding workload.
• The ability to work as part of a team.
• Flexibility for shift work including nightshift and weekends.
• A current NDIS Worker Screening Check. Respect will assist each successful candidate to obtain the required certification.
To be considered for employment with Respect, each candidate must satisfy the legislative requirements of Aged Care Worker Screening to ensure suitability to work in the aged care industry.
