We are seeking a skilled Renderer/Painter to join our team in Gold Coast QLD. Full time position available.
The Role
We have a vacancy for a full-time person who is fit and healthy and wants to work as a Renderer and Painter. The successful applicant will be responsible for applying plaster, cement, and other materials to walls, ceilings, and other surfaces to create a smooth or textured finish. This role also involves painting surfaces using various techniques to enhance the appearance and longevity of buildings and structures.
Duties may include but not limited to:
Fill cracks, holes, and joints with caulk, putty, plaster, or other fillers.
Clean and prepare surfaces by removing old paint, dirt, grease, and rust.
Sand and prime surfaces to ensure proper adhesion of rendering and paint.
Apply coats of plaster or cement to walls, ceilings, and other surfaces.
Use trowels, brushes, or spraying equipment to apply and smooth out materials.
Create various textures and finishes as per project specifications.
Ensure that the rendered surface is level and uniform.
Select appropriate paint or mix paints to create desired colors and textures.
Apply paint, varnish, enamel, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
Ensure high-quality, even application of paint, free from drips and streaks.
Apply additional coats as necessary for proper coverage and finish.
Perform touch-ups and repairs as needed to ensure a flawless finish.
Inspect and maintain work areas, tools, and equipment.
Remove fixtures such as pictures, doorknobs, lamps, and electric switch covers before painting.
Key skills and Requirements
Living in Australia (position is in Gold Coast QLD)
Experience is preferable but not absolutely necessary
Proficient in various rendering and painting techniques.
Knowledge of materials, tools, and equipment used in the trade.
Strong attention to detail and precision in work.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
