Job Brief:
In search for an experienced and qualified Head Chef to lead the kitchen. You will be the
first in command and will create and inspect dishes before the reach to the customers
ensuring high quality and standards.
Job Duties/ Responsibilities:
• Maintaining hygiene and the highest food quality standards according to the
regulations (HACCP).
• Controlling and directing food preparation process and any other kitchen related
duties.
• Constructing menus with seasonal and local produce and availabilities.
• Train and oversee the work of subordinates.
• Fully in charge of hiring new and competent staff.
• Basic knowledge of creating desserts.
• Maintaining and coordinating a healthy relationship with food suppliers and vendors.
• Knowledge of seafood and flavours.
• Maintaining appropriate labour costs, food costs and wastage.
• Ordering and receiving of deliveries.
Skills and experience:
• A minimum of 2 years’ experience at a head chef within a busy A la Carte Venue
• Certificate III Commercial Cookery (preferred)
• Strong abilities in training, mentoring and developing young chefs
• Excellent organisational and time management skills
• Passion for creating quality and consistency in every plate put out
• Overall knowledge of operations, ordering, stock control and working to budgets

Remuneration:
• Accommodation to be provided by SPINIFEX ALE HOUSE BROOME PTY LTD
• Annual pay of $70,000-$90,000 P/a + super
