Permanent role for an Accountant on the Gold Coast Your new company You will be working with a company who provides payment solutions to the service indsutry. Your new role
Reporting to the Group Financial Controller. This is a key role in the existing structure that will be responsible for monthly reporting and analysis, supporting in the budget and forecasting processes and liaising with a number of internal stakeholders.
This role will include, but not limited to:
Month end accounting and reporting - reconciliations, analysis, and commentary
Maintaining accurate general ledgers
Accounts Payable and Receivable when necessary
Responsible for accurate Fringe Benefits Tax, Fixed Assets and Prepayment Registers
Affordability compliance checks
Ad hoc duties required by Senior Finance Team Members and Management
Assist in the preparation of audit workpapers / schedules
Assist GFC with Preparation of BAS and Payroll Tax by due date via ATO Portal
What you'll need to succeed
Tertiary accounting qualifications in either commerce or accounting
Completion (or intention to complete) CA or CPA program
Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar position
Experience in working with contemporary accounting systems including Xero
Understanding of systems such as NetSuite, ideal but not essential (training will be provided)
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work deadlines, completing work accurately and demonstrating self-checking skills
Understanding the value of strong business relationships
Influential and effective communication skills
