The Role:
The team is seeking a skilled User Experience Designer to enhance the overall functionality and usability of the Departments platform. The ideal candidate will possess a strong desire to create engaging and seamless user experiences, ensuring that every interaction is user-friendly and adds value to the user's experience.
Key responsibilities:
Collaborating with user researchers and a Product Manager to deeply understand user needs, behaviours, and challenges.
Working in tandem with the product manager to grasp requirements and business limitations, while aligning design solutions with strategic goals.
Work with other designers to conceptualise and prototype solutions that effectively address core user needs and issues, fostering a collaborative design environment. Iterating designs based on stakeholder feedback and usability testing so that they are ready for development.
Ensuring all designs are accessible and adhere to user-centered design principles and accessibility standards.
