About the Opportunity:
This position is best suited to someone with the ability to work well within a busy team and who are continually striving to improve their skills as a carpenter and have the same worth ethics and goals are our company.
Roles and Responsibilities
Interpret technical drawings and specs to attain information on materials required for the project
Be responsible for the order and timber selection as well as other required materials
Dealing with materials including measuring and cutting per project specs
Cutting wood joints
Scheduling projects and work timetables
Dimensions and installation procedures
Repair existing fittings for projects
Prepare layouts for projects
Work with various types of materials including timber, plastic laminates, perspex and metals
Assembling and nailing cut and shaped parts
Verifying accuracy of structures and works
Construct concrete formwork
Setup Levels for formwork
Adhere to work safety rules and regulations and practice safety measures as required
Skills, Qualifications and Experience
Previous Construction Carpentry experience
AQF Certificate III or IV level qualification or at least 3 years’ experience as a Carpenter
Ability to work within a team environment
Hard working with good work ethics
Attention to details to provide excellent service to clients
Experience working with various stakeholders
Customer service skills desirable

The successful applicant will be remunerated based on experience and discussed at time of hire

Expected salary: $33 - $45 per hour
