De Grey Mining are seeking Expressions of Interest for enthusiastic Exploration Geologist to join the Regional Exploration Team.
Reporting to the Senior Geologist, you would be responsible for day-to-day exploration activities in the field, including all drilling program activities, field mapping and sampling, ensuring data integrity and participation in exploration programs.
The key responsibilities will include:
Day-to-day exploration activities in a safe and efficient manner following De Grey procedures to ensure maximum sample and data integrity, budget and cost control, and timely completion of works.
Participate in all day-to-day activities for all types of drilling including drill chip/drill core logging and sampling.
Varied field activities including mapping, sampling, and sample submission, and data interpretation and reporting.
Complete all activities as directed by managers to the best of your abilities in a timely and professional manner.
Provide contributions to the geological interpretation for resource models and reports.
Deliver work outcomes in accordance with expected objectives and time frames.
Reporting of all safety matters and development of safer working systems in accordance with De Grey policies and procedures
Work in a team with healthy and safe work practices with peers, contractors, and suppliers.
Informing persons in the work area (employees, contractors, and visitors) of the De Grey Health and Safety Policy and practices.
Develop and maintain in good standing in all professional internal and external relationships.
Always act in a manner that seeks to enhance the safety culture and performance of De Grey Mining
About you
You will be a driven and passionate individual with 2-5 years of experience in a similar role and degree, collaborative approach to work and capable of working to deadlines.
You will have demonstrated experience in the following:
Bachelor of Science majoring in Geology/Earth Science, geoscience, environmental geoscience, geochemistry, or equivalent tertiary training.
Minimum 6 months experience in an exploration role with previous experience in gold exploration preferred.
Experience using Microsoft Office
Possess a valid manual WA C Driver?s License
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Learn and develop competence with software ? OCRIS Mobile, QGIS, Micromine and Leapfrog
Must be approachable, and team orientated.
Must demonstrate good problem-solving skills.
Must have a focus on working safely and be active in and contribute to team safety.
Must have a strong focus on proper and timely reporting.
Current First Aid Certificate + CPR
Current 4WD certificate
Current WA/Australian State ?C? Class driver?s licence
Desired
Field experience in remote WA locations
Experience with drilling operations
Post graduate qualifications.
