About the Role
Our client is seeking a mid-level music producer/sound engineer for a personal project. The primary task involves adding instrumental elements to an existing guitar and vocals mix, as well as mastering the song. If the initial collaboration is successful, the client has an additional five songs that require similar production and mastering work. The project will require the expert to be physically present in Melbourne, Australia, for a portion of the work.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the singer-songwriter to understand their creative vision and desired sound.
- Add instrumental elements, such as drums, bass, and other instrumentation, to an existing guitar and vocals mix.
- Ensure that the added instruments complement and enhance the existing vocals and guitar tracks.
- Mid-level experience as a music producer/sound engineer, with a strong portfolio showcasing work in similar genres.
- Proficiency in music production software such as Pro Tools, Logic Pro, or Ableton Live.
- Expertise in adding instrumental elements, mixing, and mastering techniques.
- Ability to interpret and recreate specific music styles based on provided examples.
