MACA is an integrated contracting services group specialising in mining, civil construction, infrastructure and mineral processing. Our operations span across Australia.
We are currently seeking multiple Mining Engineers at several of our remote Projects in Western Australia including in the Pilbara, Goldfields and South West Regions. We operate 17 open-pit sites across WA, covering Iron Ore, Gold, Lithium and Nickel.
Reporting to the Project Manager for each respective site, the Mining Engineer will assist with mine scheduling and planning to meet both client requirement and MACA production rates. You will also provide ongoing development of the mine plans, methods, design, materials handling and cost analysis as appropriate.
To be considered for this role you will:
Hold a Bachelor of Engineering (Mining)
Have exposure to open pit mining design within an Iron Ore, Gold or Lithium background
Have prior knowledge of providing weekly, monthly reporting and progress claims
Strong Drill & Blast design experience
Have demonstrated contractor mining experience with a solid skill set in client interface and exceeding performance-based mining KPIs
Have sound knowledge of the Mines & Safety Inspection Act and Regulations
Hold a Current WA drivers’ licence
Demonstrate sound written and oral communication skills
Demonstrate a commitment to the MACA values and work practices.
Actively participate and contribute to the continuous improvement and innovation of MACA work practices
