A cold store operator (warehouse operator) in a meatworks facility is responsible for managing the incoming and outgoing goods within the warehouse. Their duties include:
Receiving and inspecting incoming shipments of supplies, equipment, and products.
Stacking boxes in cold warehouse with appropriate pallet spacing and labelling
Recording and maintaining accurate inventory records using computerized systems.
Organizing and storing products in designated areas within the warehouse.
Picking, packing, and preparing orders for shipment according to company standards.
Loading and unloading trucks using forklifts or other equipment.
Ensuring a clean and organized warehouse environment.
Performing regular inventory audits to identify discrepancies or shortages.
Complying with health and safety regulations and ensuring warehouse safety standards are met.
Assisting with other warehouse duties as assigned by supervisors or management.
The role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics role is typically required, along with knowledge of warehouse operations and safety protocols.
Compensation:
Hourly rate: $25.90 – $32.93
Annual salary range: $53863 - $68489
