Bistro at the Red Lion Hotel About the role As the Restaurant Manager of the Bistro at the Red Lion Hotel part of the Laundy Hotel Group, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless operation of all front-facing aspects of our establishment. You will lead a team dedicated to providing exceptional customer service in all areas. Your efforts will contribute to maintaining our reputation for outstanding hospitality and guest satisfaction. Benefits Competitive remuneration package Working with renowned Chef/Restaurateur, Manu Feildel Staff discounts on meals and beverages Positive and inclusive work environment Tasks and Responsibilities Recruit, train, supervise, and schedule restaurant staff, including servers, bartenders, and hosts/hostesses. Oversee daily restaurant operations, including opening and closing procedures, staffing levels, and inventory management. Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, collaboration, and excellence in customer service. Ensure that all guests receive warm, personalised, and attentive service from arrival to departure. Developing a close working relationship with the Kitchen team Solicit feedback from guests and staff to identify opportunities for menu improvements and innovation. Conduct regular menu tastings and training sessions to educate staff on menu offerings and ensure consistent execution. Monitor sales performance, analyse financial reports, and manage budgets to maximise revenue and profitability. Control costs through effective inventory management, waste reduction strategies, and labour optimisation. Qualifications and Experience Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a hospitality management role Proficiency in restaurant management software, POS systems, and Microsoft Office applications. Strong leadership abilities with excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills. Knowledge of health and safety regulations, food safety standards, and sanitation protocols.
