Join an independent not-for-profit to drive sustainable, economic growth projects within East Arnhem Land.

Your new company Developing East Arnhem Limited (DEAL) is an independent not-for-profit organisation established to facilitate investment and economic development opportunities in East Arnhem between Yol?u Traditional Owners, local organisations and businesses, Governments, and investors.

Your new role You will play a pivotal role in driving the sustainable economic development initiatives within the region, working closely with the Gumatj Traditional Owners and reporting to their COO.

Supporting the COO as an active and hands-on Project Manager, you will manage the end-to-end process of project development, coordinating multi-skilled teams and stakeholders to ensure the projects are delivered. Conducting economic analysis and reports for all proposed macroeconomic plans and reviewing proposals expressing an interest in delivering projects within the region.
You will also support investment attraction activities, targeting key industries identified with growth potential and develop strategies to attract further investment and foster these relationships.

What you'll need to succeed To be considered for this role, you will have:

Complex project management skills and proficiency in project management methodologies.
A strong background in economic development including macroeconomic planning.
Understanding economic development theories, models and best practices.
Knowledge of the historical, social and cultural contexts of indigenous communities.
Proven ability to cultivate and maintain effective relationships with multiple and diverse stakeholders.
Strong analytical skills and a data-driven approach to decision-making and identifying strategies that support the data.
A relevant tertiary education in economics, business, policy, or community development.
Project management qualifications and experience in managing multiple and diverse projects.
