We're seeking a well organised, positive individual to join our Melbourne warehouse team. The role is varied with a focus on detail. Our small and friendly warehouse team prepares and ships orders everyday. The job is varied enough to make it interesting and allows the applicant to get involved in various aspects of the business. This is a full-time position, involving daily responsibilities such as picking orders from printed slips, packing goods and preparing parcels to be ready for shipping. The applicant will also be refilling stock shelves, preparing goods to be ready for shipping and performing product quality control. The work is not heavy in nature although occasionally we may receive larger deliveries which need to be unpacked. Our products tend to be small and light in most cases. A fork lift licence would be of advantage for the applicant although not necessary.
You will be situated at our head office in Port Melbourne where you will perform your day to day duties. We provide training and support to assist you in this role.
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following attributes:
Experience in warehouse picking/packing is highly desirable.
A friendly demeanour and an ability to work as part of a team.
Clear verbal communication, polite and professional manner.
Attention to detail and practical application of all relevant safe work practices.
Be a trustworthy person.
Familiarity with Windows operating systems and experience in using Xero software and/or Microsoft or similar Office products would be of advantage. We simply need you to be generaly comfortable with day-to-day aspects of computer use.
This is a full time position with annual leave of 4 weeks and all the usual public holiday and superannuation entitlements. Hours are Monday to Friday. 8am start everyday, finishing at 4:30 pm on Monday and at 4pm all other days. We work a 38 hour week. Two 15 minute breaks every day, morning and afternoon (paid). 30 minutes for lunch (unpaid). Fortnightly pay-runs.
