Job Title: Full-time Chef
Salary: $74,000 plus superannuation
Duties and Skills
• Prepare and cook meals, and supervise the preparation of meals by kitchen staff
• Seasoning & portioning a variety of dish and carving and trimming foods to ready them for different dishes.
• Regulating temperatures of ovens, grills and other cooking equipment
• Lead, guide, train and inspire the kitchen team to deliver the best results
• Manage kitchen consumables, stock takes, ordering, cost control and budgeting
• Develop, test, and introduce new menu items.
• Ensuring the workplace is clean and hygiene and always meet the standards
• Compliance with OH&S and Food Safety standards
• Work alongside the management team
• Coordinating and managing the orders of the stock as required
Experience
• Possess excellent relevant post-secondary hospitality (cooking) qualifications, to at least Diploma level.
• Have 2 years professional experience or more.
• Are available across the working week including weekends and Public Holidays.
• Offer proven ability to prioritise, set goals and have the determination to achieve them.
• Possess a thorough understanding of food safety and HACCP.
• Understand cost control, time management, prioritization, and cost-efficient procurement practices.
• Passion for developing innovative menu items.
• Strict compliance towards food safety
