Our client, Freedom Petroleum Group Pty Limited operates a fuel station and convenience store in Goulburn with a range of petrol and diesel fuels.

The client is committed to fostering a positive work environment and empowering the team members to succeed. The client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Retail Manager to oversee the fuel station and convenience store operations. The Retail Manager will be responsible for ensuring efficient daily operations, maximizing sales and profitability, and delivering excellent customer service.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in retail management, exceptional leadership skills, and a passion for exceeding customer expectations.

Minimum Requirements:
AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma in the relevant field
3+ years' experience in a similar role

In this role your main responsibilities include:
• Oversee all aspects of fuel station and convenience store operations, including staffing, inventory management, and customer service.
• Develop and implement strategies to drive sales growth and achieve revenue targets.
• Train, mentor, and motivate team members to deliver outstanding customer service and meet performance goals.
• Monitor and analyze sales trends, inventory levels, and expenses to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming store environment for customers and team members.
• Create and deliver daily plans and strategies to ensure store & individual budgets/targets are achieved
• Execute & manage visual merchandising within the store
• Maintain awareness of market trends and monitoring competitors
• Maintain records of financial transactions
• Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations
• Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback in a professional and timely manner.

The successful candidate will have a passion for the retail sector, be career focused and have strong management qualities. Other key skills and experience will include:
• Previous experience in retail management, preferably in the fuel or convenience store industry.
• Proven track record of achieving sales targets and delivering excellent customer service.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire team members.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Solid understanding of retail operations, including inventory management and cash handling procedures.
