HEAD CHEF WANTED
Great opportunity for a Head Chef to join the Gourmet en Counter Group overseeing Surfers Paradise institution “Longboards Laidback Eatery & Bar”.
Working closely with the management team and company director the Head Chef will be responsible for the day to day running of the kitchen operations ensuring the highest quality and consistency of food, along with:
Providing hands on motivational leadership and structure in the kitchen
Drive cohesion with the front of house team so that the operation has a guest focus.
Manage kitchen wage cost control through rostering, timesheet management ongoing review
Training and development of chefs, kitchen hands and apprentices
Ensuring minimal wastage and achieving Food Cost in line with the restaurants budget
Monthly stocktake and stock control
Working closely with and supporting the Venue manager to ensure guest expectations are exceeded.
Working with the company director to review and provide continual development of the menu in line with the menu direction and to achieve desired gross margins
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or similar qualification
Experience in fast passed restaurants.
Enjoy working in both a team and independently.
Punctual and available to work flexible hours.
