To provide high level general office administration to support the Venue Leader Craigieburn.

What you’ll be doing:

  • To provide high level of customer service to members of the public and internal customers in a timely, professional, and effective manner in accordance with agreed performance standards and service expectations.
  • To contribute to the provision of high-quality functions, conferences, learning, cultural and education activities at various venues and facilities across the Hume municipality.
  • Manage appropriate systems to ensure effective and efficient day-to-day administration including general correspondence, purchasing, document management, collation of data and reports.
  • Create, monitor and/or maintain accounts for various contractors and suppliers as per operational requirements.
  • Ensure effective and efficient day-to-day operation of the Hume Global Learning Centre (HGLC) as per the Venue Operations Manual.
  • Ensure the HGLC and the community facilities within the Craigieburn catchment are maintained and well presented to a high standard and any maintenance or cleaning issues are dealt with promptly through liaison with the Council’s Building Maintenance Team.

The skills and experience you’ll bring to the role:

  • Proficiency in the application of standardised community facility work procedures and practices including set up and pack down of furniture and operation of facility equipment.
  • Knowledge and/or proficiency in the use of booking and administration systems within a community setting.
  • Proficiency in the application of standard office administration and clerical procedures and practices.
  • Commitment to quality customer service provision and the ability to follow through all enquiries effectively and efficiently.
  • Ability to work as a member of a team committed to providing efficient and quality customer service.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and demonstrated ability to gain cooperation and assistance from customers and colleagues, with a broad range of people from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
  • Demonstrated competency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) and proficiency in keyboard usage along with accomplished grammar and spelling.

Required Certifications & Qualifications:

  • A nationally recognised Certificate in a related discipline (Administration or Customer Service) or relevant experience.
  • Current driver’s license
