A great opportunity has become available for a Dispensary Assistant / Compounding Technician to join the team at Pharmacy 777 – Mandurah
The main purpose of this role is to support the pharmacist in making non-sterile pharmaceutical products and dispensing prescriptions.
Essential skills & qualifications
• Enjoy work that requires a high attention to detail
• Be highly productive
• Demonstrate a good understanding of basic mathematics
• Be able to navigate various software systems
• Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
• Be flexible across shifts
• Be able to handle tasks that require dexterity and repetitive handling
Desirable skills & qualifications
• Prior experience in pharmacy, manufacturing or warehousing
• Previous manual compounding experience
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Picking and preparing raw materials
• Compounding (mixing) solutions, creams, lozenges and capsules
• Packing finished units for each order including final inspection of products
• Labelling and dispatching prepared products
• Ensuring documentation is completed in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP)
• Assisting the pharmacist with day-to-day operational tasks, including but not limited to: stock management, inventory control and dispensary support
• Providing exceptional customer service by answering inquiries, offering product recommendations, and assisting customers with their needs
• Collaborating with the team to maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming pharmacy environment
• Complying with all pharmacy policies and procedures, including proper handling of medications and adherence to privacy regulations
• Contributing to the overall success of the pharmacy by actively participating in staff training and development programs

Hours:
The position is for a full-time employee (38 hours per week), spread over five days.
Part-time hours may be considered for suitable applicants.
