We are looking for experienced Fitters / Turners / Machinists to join us at Carta & Co Fabrication & Engineering and be part of supporting the sugarcane & engineering Industry.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Fanuc controls
* Mastercam
* Horizontal Machining Centres
* Horizontal Borers
* Double Column Machining Centres
* Reviewing engineering plans, materials, specifications & machining parameters; interpreting geometric dimensions & tolerances.
* CNC programming, setting & operating Turning Centres & Machining Centres
* Prepare CAM programs for a range of machines, 3, 4 & 5 axis including Multitask Machines, Turning Centres & Machining Centres.
* Verifying settings by measuring positions, first-run part & sample work pieces: adhering to Australian standards
* Detecting malfunctions; adjusting & reprogramming controls: sharpening & replacing worn tools; adhering to quality assurance procedures & processes.
* Maintaining safe operations by adhering to safety procedures & regulations
* Maintaining equipment with preventative maintenance
Qualifications & Requirements
* CNC Machinist Trade background
* We require someone who is versatile, reliable & motivated
* A keen eye for detail, a can-do attitude
* Willingness to gain knowledge & skills as well as an understanding of production is highly desirable
* Relevant trade qualifications
* At least 3 years experience
* Strong CAM skills
* Strong Machining skills
* Strong understanding of tooling applications
* An ability to work both autonomously as well as in a team environment
* High standard of safety awareness & culture
Salary
* The annual salary ranges from $57,000 - $72,000.
