About us:
Wintersands Developments is a proud Australian owned family business engaged in farming and food processing. Agricultural enterprises include vegetable and cereal crops at Tabbita (30kms north-west of Griffith NSW). Our fully owned subsidiary, Australian Frozen Foods, has been the sole supplier of pickles to McDonald's burgers Australia-wide since 1990.

As part of our ongoing dedication to offer quality processed vegetables, we are in search of an enthusiastic Vegetable Inspector to enrol in our Quality Assurance Team. Working with the Managers, you will be an integral part of the team across both farm and factory, assisting to improve the quality standards of our iconic Aussie products.

Duties include:
* Inspecting and maintaining the quality of our produce from crops to final product and ensuring they are within the
expected specifications, identifying quality issues and providing advice to relevant managers/departments regarding
quality issues.
* Production Line QA - Product testing and quality control of the pickled vegetables in the factory during grading,
fermentation and packing operations.
* Working on the production lines, monitoring and auditing quality procedures at our farms, including our processing
facilities (plant and machinery), ensuring the vegetables are processed according to the desired specification and
required standards.
* Assist in management of quality and ensure compliance of standards of hygiene are observed through warehouse
storage and despatch, including final product inspections and truck loading.
* Identify defects in vegetable quality, determine causes of defects and make recommendations to the Operations
Manager.
* Maintain accurace and up to date QA reports.
* Identify, isolate and investigate production non-conformances and ensuring timely resolution.
* Participate in both the internal and external audit programmes.
* Ensure Biosecurity measures are maintained across the entire farm and factory.

About You:
* 2+ years practical experience in the agricultural or food manufacturing industry in a similar role.
* Tertiary education in Business, Food Science, Science OR demonstrated relevant experience.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Sound decision-making ability and problem-solving skills.
* Demonstrated organisational skills and a methodical approach to work.
* Strong attention to detail.
* Experienced operating tractors and other farm equipment.
* Capable of working both unsupervised and as part of a team.
* Flexible in approach to work and willing to put in the time and effort required in seasonal peaks.
* Must have unrestricted right to work in Australia.
