Liftek are currently recruiting for an experienced and qualified Automotive Electrician located in Griffith NSW 2680.
Key Duties:
- Diagnosing electrical faults and carrying out electrical repairs on varied heavy plant and vehicles
- Test and repair basic electrical circuits
- Soldier electrical wiring and circuits
- Repair wiring harnesses and looms
- Test, charge and replace batteries and jump start vehicles
- Diagnose and repair spark ignition engine management systems
- Diagnose and repair vehicle dynamic control systems
- Remove and replace electrical units and assemblies
- Diagnose and repair instruments and warning systems
- Diagnose and repair automotive electrical systems
- Install vehicle lighting and wiring systems
- Install ancillary electronic systems and components
- Taking readings, using a laptop or hand-held device connected to an engine's electronic control unit
- Checking and testing wiring and parts in vehicles using portable instruments
- Using readings to find faults
-Researching faults, using manufacturers' circuit diagrams and manuals
- Repairing or replacing faulty parts
- Retesting the system to make sure everything is working correctly and safely
- Performing scheduled preventative maintenance and maintaining associated logs and reports
-Road tests of vehicles to test proper functionality of on board electronics
- Filling out a repair sheet listing the work completed
Relevant Skills & Qualifications
- Use the latest motor diagnostic and repairing tools to quickly identify the source of a problem and other related issues.
- Cert III in Automotive Electrical Technology or equivalent
Salary range is $70,000 -$85,000 commensurate with experience
