About the Business Unit:
On 1 July 2022, the Victorian Liquor Commission (Commission) was established by legislation as the independent statutory Victorian liquor regulator. The Commission exercises regulatory, investigative and disciplinary functions under the Liquor Control Reform Act 1998 (LCRA).
Liquor Control Victoria (LCV), a Department of Justice and Community Safety (DJCS) business unit within the Victorian Government, provides staff and operational and administrative support for the Commission. LCV also performs various regulatory functions on behalf of the Commission industry under delegation and:
