Specialist Manufacturer – Pediatric Disability Equipment Repair & Remanufacture

As a Specialist Manufacturer, you will oversee and coordinate the manufacturing, repair, remanufacturing, and after-sales service processes for pediatric disability equipment. This role demands a comprehensive understanding of disability equipment, particularly R82 and Convaid wheelchairs, and involves managing all aspects of the service, repair, and remanufacturing operations to maintain high standards of quality and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Operations Management: Plan, organize, direct, and control the repair, remanufacture, and after-sales service operations for pediatric disability equipment. Ensure all processes comply with environmental regulations and quality control systems.
Service and Remanufacture Coordination: Oversee and coordinate the entire process of quotes, material ordering, product returns, repair runs, and remanufacturing to original build quality for disability equipment. Ensure efficient workflow and timely delivery of services to end-users.
Stock and Supply Chain Management: Maintain accurate stock levels of materials and spare parts. Work closely with the warehouse and supply managers to optimize supply chain processes and ensure the availability of necessary materials for repairs, manufacturing, and remanufacturing.
Technical Expertise and Innovation: Utilize specialist knowledge in R82 and Convaid wheelchairs to assess, diagnose, repair, and remanufacture equipment. Identify opportunities for manufacturing and remanufacturing custom parts to enhance the functionality and durability of the equipment.
Quality Assurance: Monitor and integrate quality control systems across all stages of the manufacturing, repair, and remanufacturing processes, from waste management to delivery and assembly, to ensure product quality and customer satisfaction.
Stakeholder Engagement: Effectively collaborate with internal and external business partners, including other departments and third-party service providers, to align operations with business objectives.

Qualifications:

Proven experience in manufacturing, repair, and remanufacture of mechanical devices, preferably in the disability equipment field.
Strong organizational and leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
Excellent technical knowledge of disability equipment, particularly R82 and Convaid products.
Familiarity with environmental policies and quality control systems in manufacturing and remanufacturing.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team and with external partners.
Must be Australian citizen or Permanent resident to be considered.
