Are you ready for an exciting opportunity to be part of Hurstville's newest premier dining destination? Humphrey's Hotel and Hatch restaurant opened in late 2023 to offer a combination of elevated pub dining with a modern Australian premium dining experience.

Humphrey's Hotel is a unique space that blends the vibrant atmosphere of a pub with the pleasures of outdoor dining, while Hatch restaurant offers fine dining with European pizzazz that delivers on quality while mixing tradition with a modern flair.

We are looking for a hands-on Junior Sous Chef to join our kitchen brigade as part of this fantastic new venue.

Full-Time Salary: $70,000 - $80,000

ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES:

- Supporting/leading junior chefs & kitchen workers
- Helping to manage the kitchen & kitchen sections
- Prep / mis-en-place
- Stock-control & management
- Ensuring compliance to WHS & Food Safety Standards
- Preparing high quality food
- Menu planning & daily specials
- Assisting with budgeting & financial planning
- Training & development of junior kitchen workers

ABOUT YOU:

- Culinary trade qualifications
- Minimum 3+ years' experience as a Chef
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Experience at minimum CDP or Junior Sous level
- Deep fry section experience is essential
- Excellent communication skills
- Team player & ability to cooperate with other workers
- Flexible & reliable
- Wide range of experience with culinary styles & cuisines
- Passion for the hospitality industry & a desire to cook delicious food
