BlueScope

BlueScope company logo

BlueScope is an Australian-born, global success story, spanning 18 countries, with a team of over 15,000 people. We’re driven by innovation and are proud that the technologies in our products and brands, like COLORBOND® steel, inspire and protect everything from hospitals and bridges to stadiums and homes.

The Opportunity

Come and discover the opportunity to join our Talent Team as a Talent Partner Lead initially in 12 months fixed term contract.  As BlueScope continues to grow as a business we will continue to strengthen and develop our people. We need to ensure we have the right mindsets, capabilities and skills for the future.

Not only have we been growing but we've also got numerous projects happening right across our businesses to ensure we're ready for tomorrow. After all, as society shifts towards a low carbon economy, steel is a crucial material in the technologies for this transition.

And of course, we can't achieve this without the right talented people - that's where you come in! We are looking to appoint an internal recruitment team leader experienced in leading talent partners or internal recruitment professionals, to join our friendly team for a rare, fixed term contract opportunity. You will be based at Port Kembla NSW, with hybrid working arrangements on offer.

What Will You Do?

Reporting to the Talent Acquisition Manager, you will join an established Talent Team who collectively manage all recruitment for BlueScope across Australia. As a trusted senior advisor, you will transform and enable best practice recruitment operations for your business portfolio. You will manage and lead a small team ensuring we have the right talent capabilities, now and for the future.

As a Talent Partner Lead you will:

  • ensure best practice recruitment management is delivered and continuously transformed and aligned to business and customer needs
  • lead, manage and mentor a small team of Talent Partners
  • lead customer engagement and advisory for your portfolio including talent updates, reporting and SLAs
  • manage the end-to-end recruitment for a handful of senior and technical roles at a time
  • identify new channels and sources of talent including proactive searching
  • create innovative recruitment campaigns to attract talent
  • support the Talent Manager with key Talent projects
  • champion Our Purpose, employee brand and ensure an exceptional candidate experience

More About You

You will have extensive internal recruitment experience in a large or complex organisation. You’ve either managed a small team previously, OR acted as a senior member of the team guiding and mentoring less experienced colleagues.

You will have:

  • exceptional stakeholder management and influencing skills
  • experience advising senior and executive level leaders
  • a dedication to the candidate, employee and customer experience
  • an enthusiasm for the future of talent including new technologies, up-to-date assessment tools, search and employee brand marketing
  • knowledge of how to leverage talent data and transform it into meaningful reports

Why BlueScope

As BlueScope continues to go from strength to strength, a career with us provides you with the opportunity to grow and be rewarded. At BlueScope, you will:

  • create and deliver innovative solutions that drive transformation in our business
  • make an impact that really does shape the world we live in
  • keep growing through continuous learning and development opportunities
  • enjoy the sense of belonging that comes from working with people who genuinely look out for one another

At BlueScope, our people are our strength, and we don’t say that lightly. We want our people to be successful, and to be safe. We offer work-life flexibility through our B-flex program and make sure our inclusive work environment welcomes people of all backgrounds. We’re passionate about driving sustainability outcomes that matter to our communities, including action on climate and our 2050 net zero goal. And we’ll do this through Our Purpose: We create and inspire smart solutions in steel, to strengthen our communities for the future.
