The Senior Enterprise Architect will play a crucial role in providing the technical leadership and strategic direction for the technologies, standards, processes and architectures for all programs of work across the Endeavour Group and the One Endeavour transformation program. As a thought leader you will build and maintain a holistic view of the organisational IT strategy, processes, rules, standards and information technology assets, ensuring that the business and IT are in alignment. Linking the business mission and strategy of the organisation to the IT strategy and One Endeavour transformation program outcomes. The role must provide a clear picture of how the organisation exists and the requirement for future IT capability, future proofing the Endeavour Group in developing effective, agile, sustainable scalable architectures.

Here is a taster of what you can expect in this role:

  • Provide high-level strategic advice and develop the business case models to assess technologies and assist in the prioritisation of future investment in IT systems and processes to support business objectives and the Endeavour Group eco-system, enabling One Endeavour outcomes.
  • Lead all phases of enterprise architecture development, defining scope, modelling systems, analysing requirements and planning implementations in support of business objectives to enable the business to become operationally efficient and effective.
  • Develop the enterprise architectures, including domain architecture service offering in alignment with the broader enterprise architecture team practice and its operating and governance processes, including development of application and integration and standards for the organisation, enabling IT strategic goals and objectives.
  • Develop and maintain enterprise architecture roadmaps supporting transformation activities and implementation of IT programs such the One Endeavour program, while taking every opportunity to
  • consolidate and simplify the business systems, solutions, and technology portfolio.
  • Maintain corporate information and knowledge of the organisation's strategic business plans, it program/project portfolio and priorities, and provide feedback on possible impacts on delivery of it enterprise architectures, including organisational assets, and identify and investigate opportunities t utilise and integrate emerging technologies, extending the organisation capabilities to provide cos effective, flexible business systems solutions while delighting the customer.
  • Review new and existing IT programs/projects to ensure compliance an integration with existin business capabilities, processes and architectures by developing, documenting, and communicating Creating a more sociable future together strategies, standards and architectural positions. 
  • Provide guidance and direction for design and implementation o development frameworks and desig patterns for consumption across multiple development teams. Also, to undertake high-level research horizon scanning and analysis to identify future IT trends, capabilities, and assess and explain the valu of existing investments and emerging technologies and their applicability t support business objectives.
  • Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Work with the internal program and project resources; such as other enterprise architects program and solutions architects, developers and development teams to develop and then implement proposed enterprise data architectures and solutions within agreed timeframes ensuring the architectures align with the organisations; enterprise-wide process, rules and standards.
  • Liaise with third parties and other vendors and act as the lead technica representative for th enterprise data and architecture initiatives advocatin architectural outcomes, advising third parties and vendors on data and information architecture business systems, and solutions utilisation and adoption.
  • Role model, promote and actively demonstrate the leading behaviours to deliver organisational outcomes for our customers, our people and communities.
  • Risk Management: Assess technical risks associated with proposed enterprise architectures and new business solutions and provide mitigation strategies to ensure transformational program success.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with clients, project managers, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment of enterprise architectures to technical solutions with business objectives and requirements. Also, to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders both internal and external to align strategies and architectures to business needs, including working with customers, business teams, program, and solutions architects, particularly on large, complex programs/projects, and balance current and new architecture resourcing in the context of competing business demands, specify optimum designs for subsequent development.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, design documents, and best practices guidelines.
  • Monitor and Maintain: Review and report to the stakeholders and customers on enterprise architecture delivery and strategic project delivery against agreed commitments and adjust activities as necessary.
