Newpark Tavern (Newpark Bar & Bistro) boasts a public sports bar, bistro and bottle shop. Newpark Tavern caters for all age groups, show all sporting events and host a variety of events and occasions for our patrons. We offer an extensive drinks menu including local beers, premium beers, foreign beers, extensive list of spirits available, full wine list and extensive cocktail list. Located in Girrawheen, Newpark Tavern offer services to our patrons seven (7) days a week.
Newpark Tavern are looking for a candidate who has strong expertise and experience in high volume bars and busy bistro. The Duty Manager is responsible for the daily operations of the venue and ensuring the delivery of outstanding customer service. This includes effectively allocating work to and supervising employees in all frontline areas, as well as maintaining and complying with all safety, stock and equipment procedures.
Duties/responsibilities
* Staff management
* Patron management
* Overseeing implementation of RSA practices
* Customer enquiries and/or complaints
* Enforcing and advocating tavern Policies and Procedures
* Being a positive team-focused individual who leads by example
* Identify staff training needs and take steps to resolve
* Oversee operations across bar, bistro and bottle shop
* Oversee the effective execution of events
Skills/experience
* At least three (3) years of management experience in a hospitality setting
* Experience in effectively managing staff/leading a team
* A demonstrated passion for service and all things food and beverage
* Sound knowledge of Hotel industry and hospitality trends more generally
* The ability to actively mentor and develop potential leaders within the team and foster an environment of growth and professionalism
* The ability to create, implement and monitor operational systems and procedures
* Strong communication skills and professionalism
* Current RSA qualification is required for this role
* A can-do attitude
Salary: $70,000 – $80,000 per year
