About the Role:

An exciting opportunity exists at our Scone Plant located in New South Wales, 2 hours North West of Newcastle for a full time Maintenance Fitter. This is a fabulous opportunity to join our dynamic, exciting organisation and enjoy the benefits and satisfaction in contributing to the continued growth and success of our business.


This role will be responsible for providing maintenance across the plant where required, working within a team & supporting the maintenance team & the business to drive a culture of continuous improvement. Wages is paid according to organisational EBA-Industrial Agreement and this is a full-time position with the potential to earn between $70,000 - $80,000 per annum plus super.


Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

Ensure maximum equipment uptime is achieved by providing effective and efficient mechanical preventative and breakdown maintenance.
Engage in making, fitting or repairing mechanical machines, instruments or appliances.
Ensure that all mechanical work is carried out to meet the Company safety and housekeeping requirements and conforms to all relevant regulations.
Demonstrated ability to identify faults with the ability to troubleshoot and rectify problems.
Other responsibilities that may come up, such as working on projects.


About you:

Strong communication skills
Mechanical trade qualifications and post-trade experience of a minimum of 2 years.
Experience in maintenance/repair in a fast paced manufacturing environment.
Effective and efficient fault finding and diagnostic skills.
A thorough understanding of maintenance work management practices.
Understanding of work planning and scheduling procedures.
Sound computer skills.
Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills.
Thorough understanding and knowledge of WHS regulations/procedures.
Confined Space and BA Competence highly desired.
