Located in the Beef Capital of Australia, the JBS Rockhampton processing facility produces a range of pasture fed and grain fed beef products. The plant employs over 500 team members operating 6 days/week.
Are you a Qualified Maintenance Electrician looking for a new and exciting opportunity? Do you want to be home with your family every night?
The permanent, full-time role offers a base wage of $80,000 - $87,000, with overtime available, experience-based increases and further additional allowances.
A $5,000 Sign-On Retention bonus available. Conditions apply.
Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
Break down repairs - Responding to break downs in a timely fashion to ensure maximum availability, reliability and capability of all plant assets.
Preventative maintenance - Ensuring maximum equipment uptime is achieved by completing effective and efficient Electrical preventative maintenance when production is not running on a large variety of equipment.
Project/ Improvement works in a FMCG.
Time management, task ownership and ability to work autonomously and in a team.
Compliance with and adherence to Food Safety & Quality Assurance regulations.
About you:
An electrical trade qualification and Australian is essential.
No previous experience in FMCG is required but is advantageous.
Previous PLC experience or working knowledge of PLC, VSDs, x-ray or highly regarded.
Competent fault-finding skills demonstrated problem solving skills and ability to troubleshoot faults to rectify problems in a timely manner.
Possesses excellent communication skills; manage quality, safety issues and escalations to your supervisor.
Ensure that all electrical work meets all company safety and housekeeping requirements in addition to conforming to all relevant regulations.
Ability and interest in being a proactive team member, showing initiative to build on cultural change improvements to maintain an engaged, supportive and beneficial team.
