We are looking for an experienced apiarist to join our large scale commercial apiary in Tumut NSW at Snowy Mountains Honey. The role of apiarist will be responsible for planning and coordinating operation of apiary to ensure maximum production of beehives through good beekeeping practices. The duties will involve hive management, queen rearing, queen replacement, harvesting and extracting honey as well as general maintenance.
Qualification requirements
In order to be successful in this role, you will need to have the following attributes:
- 5 years prior experience working as an Apiarist or a relevant degree.
- Be physically fit and able to lift heavy weights
- Good and sound knowledge of Beekeeping
- Ability to work unsupervised
- Be able to work in a team
- Salary $70,000 - $80,000
