Dentax is seeking an experienced Dental Ceramist who will be able to work unsupervised and autonomously yet side-by-side and in partnership with our other Dental Ceramists.
You will have a high quality of workmanship, sound knowledge of dental anatomy and tooth morphology along with a creative flair for the balance and harmony of smile design.
Your skills will include:
* Layering porcelain on zirconia, metal and implant frameworks
* Finishing monolithic zirconia and lithium disilicate restorations
* Investing, pressing and finishing pressed ceramics
* Custom shade matching
* Building PFMs and multiple units
You will need to be able to have open discussions and share ideas about case design, be able to interpret photographs, be familiar with Try/In procedure and shade taking, but most of all you must have pride in your work as we make teeth not crowns.
To apply for the position, you will need:
* A minimum of 5 years demonstrable experience in a Dental Ceramist role
* Demonstrable excellent time management skills to work under pressure and meet deadlines
* Strong manual dexterity as you will have to work with your hands and keep them steady for long periods of time
* Strong attention to detail
* A desire to play a part in a close-knit, family-orientated, inclusive team
* A commitment to a sea change and willing to make Cairns, far north Queensland your home
We are offering a full-time position, but we are open to a part-time position for the right candidate.
