Dental Assistant
Looking for:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong attention to detail, and a passion for patient care. As a Dental Assistant, you will work closely with our dentists and hygienists to provide exceptional dental care to our patients.
Roles & Responsibilities:
• Provide chairside assistance to dentists and hygienists during a variety of dental procedures, ensuring smooth and efficient operation of the clinic.
• Set up treatment rooms before patient appointments, ensuring all necessary instruments, equipment, and materials are readily available for procedures.
• Properly sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment according to infection control protocols, ensuring a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.
• Take and develop dental x-rays as directed by the dentist, adhering to radiation safety guidelines and maintaining accurate records of x-ray procedures.
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, including brushing, flossing, and dietary habits, to promote optimal dental health and prevent oral diseases.
• Assist with administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing patient records, processing payments, and maintaining inventory levels of dental supplies.
• Comfort and reassure patients who may experience anxiety or discomfort during dental procedures, maintaining a calming and supportive demeanor to enhance the patient experience.
• Anticipate the needs of dentists and hygienists during procedures, providing them with the necessary instruments and materials in a timely manner to facilitate efficient treatment delivery.
• Be prepared to assist in emergency situations, such as sudden medical emergencies or adverse reactions, by following established protocols and providing assistance as directed by the dentist.
• Stay informed about advancements in dental technology, procedures, and regulations through continuing education opportunities, maintaining knowledge and skills necessary for providing high-quality patient care.
Skills & Attributes:
• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• X-ray certification preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of work experience in a similar field
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work well in a team environment
• Empathy and compassion towards patients
• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality
• Proficiency in basic computer skills
Job Type & Salary:
• This will be full-time job.
• The base salary will be AUD60,000 – AUD70,000.
