Many of the projects are set in remote locations and have strict quality and completion targets that must be met. With a current project pipeline of over $150 million of work in hand, this organisation is growing rapidly and is expected to be awarded more projects in 2024. As a result of their continued success we are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team. The Mechanical Design Engineer occupies a pivotal position, it will be responsible for crafting mechanical systems, overseeing project engineering tasks, and ensuring top-notch quality assurance throughout installations across diverse construction sites. Mastery of mechanical engineering principles tailored to construction endeavours is imperative for success in this role. Responsibilities
Design and customise mechanical systems and schematics to suit construction projects.
Aid in the procurement, installation, and commissioning of mechanical systems on site, guaranteeing adherence to project specifications and Australian Standards.
Support in maintaining the quality of work during mechanical system installations on site.
Verify that all electrical installations adhere to Australian local, state, and federal regulations, industry safety standards, and project specifications.
Collaborate closely with project managers, architects, and other engineering disciplines to harmonise electrical systems with overall project objectives.
Must Possess
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering
Accredited to sign off on mechanical design
Eligible to register on State mechanical engineering register
Minimum of 5 year's experience in mechanical design engineering in Australia
Proficient in using industry-standard software like AutoCAD and other mechanical design tool software
Permanent Resident or Australian Citizen
