We are currently hiring a dedicated Occupational Therapist to provide exceptional care to our clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in assessing and treating individuals with a variety of conditions, promoting independence and improved daily functioning. Roles and Responsibilities:
• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients' physical, Psychological, cognitive, emotional, and social functioning.
• Create personalized treatment plans based on assessment findings, considering the unique goals and challenges of each client.
• Administer a variety of occupational therapy techniques and interventions to improve clients' functional abilities in activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Assess clients' functional capacities within their home, leisure, work, and educational settings, and offer suggestions for environmental adjustments aimed at enhancing their performance to its fullest extent.
• Work closely with other healthcare team members, including physical therapists, speech therapists, and physicians, to ensure a coordinated and holistic approach to patient care.
• Provide education to clients and their families on adaptive techniques, assistive devices, and strategies to promote independence and improve overall quality of life.
• Plan and lead programs incorporating vocational, recreational, remedial, social, and educational activities for individuals and groups.
• Offer guidance to family members, caregivers, employers, and teachers on adapting clients' environments to enhance their functionality.
• Provide adaptive equipment like wheelchairs and splints to aid clients in overcoming functional limitations.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals in the comprehensive management of clients' cases.
• Work with experts to provide specialized advice to specific client groups, such as those in need of driver rehabilitation or medico-legal representation.
• Keep accurate and up-to-date records of assessments, treatment plans, and client progress. Ensure compliance with regulatory and organizational documentation standards.
• Stay current with the latest research, best practices, and advancements in occupational therapy. Integrate new knowledge into practice to enhance the quality of care provided.
• Demonstrate cultural competence and adaptability to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds, considering cultural, social, and economic factors that may impact therapy outcomes.
• Engage in ongoing professional development activities, such as workshops, conferences, and training sessions, to enhance skills and maintain licensure. Stay informed about changes in healthcare policies and regulations.
Skills and Attributes: -
• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy or related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a licensed Occupational Therapist.
• Valid state licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Job Type & Salary: -
• This is a full-time permanent job.
• The base salary will be AUD 80,000- AUD 90,000.
Working Hours: -
Availability to work during evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
