As a Glazier you will be reporting to the Manager, you will be responsible for getting the best performance out of their team possible through delegation and training.

About the role:

Operate Glass processing machine: waterjet, CNC, IGU and Furnace.
Measure and interpret glass dimensions.
Identify and mark defective areas.
Setup the production equipment before executing the job orders.
Sort trolley for next processing department.
Correct handling of glass to avoid damage.
Action order confirmations promptly.
Maintain equipment and clean work area.
Smooth rough edges using appropriate machines and tools provided.
Ensure all glass leaving the production station is of high quality.
A strong eye for detail and managerial skills required (ie Problem solving skill, maintaining safety standards, supportive space to resolve them).
Work hands on with the administration, to lead by example and support in the planning and scheduling, of daily work and projects.
Require job rescheduling skill to meet daily production.
Conducting training and workshops and providing mentoring and feedback.
Delegating tasks and setting deadlines.
Overseeing and managing day-to-day team operations.
Monitoring and reporting on progress and metrics.
Liaise with senior management and other Team Leaders to discuss workflow
Scheduling meeting between team members and Manager.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation related to their team's activities.
Seek opportunities for process improvement and efficiency enhancement within their team's operations.
Maintain compliance and regulatory requirement.

About you:

Minimum of Certificate III or equivalent is preferable.
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Glass Processing Industry with AUTOCAD knowledge, Cutting technique, laminating, double glazing.
Prefer to have a qualification in Management.
Require Interpersonal skill to maintain stronger working relationship.
Demonstrated experience leading and training a small team within a fast paced environment.
Ability to work in a fast paced environment, autonomously, and within the team.
Have a genuine passion to prioritise your own workload and that of the teams where required to ensure our services are completed with minimal disruptions for our customers.
Strong oral and written communication skills are required plus the ability to build positive business relationships amongst your colleague.

Salary:

• $70,000 to $80,000 per annum depending on experience

• Plus Superannuation and employment-terms as per Australian regulations
