The purpose of this role is to develop safe, effective and efficient tank repair, modification and construction methods whilst ensuring reliable availability storage tanks across all areas of the refinery.
- Recommend tank repair, modification and construction methods in line with applicable statutory, industry and company requirements to maintain long-term tank integrity and function. Base case for refinery bulk storage assets is 20yr fit-for-service following out-of-service inspection.
- Develop Management of Change (MOC) proposals and supporting documentation for non-routine tank repair methodologies and proposed tank design modifications.
- Collaborate with the refinery integrity team, to forecast and optimise a risk-based tankage inspection and outage program on a 12 monthly and 10 year rolling schedule.
- Actively contribute to the development of the annual Tank Maintenance plan, tank schedules and resource and cost estimates.
- Maintain relevant tank repair records and history.
- Able to work within a team as well as self-motivated to achieve asset integrity and business goals.
- Be able to collaborate with a wide range of teams to ensure the safe, efficient and effective delivery of tank maintenance scopes.
- Actively participate in the Asset Integrity Continuous Improvement program.
Safety
- Ensure all activities are conducted and managed in accordance with AERO principles and agreed HSSE practices and procedure as outlined in the Geelong Refinery Management System.
- Safety of proposed plant changes for corrosion management in all aspects (i.e. materials selection, operational control and feed changes).
- Shared responsibility for incident investigation following an incident.
