Household name government entity are se4eking an experienced strategic sourcing specialist to join their team. Your new company Our client are a household-name Victorian Government entity who provide a diverse range of services purposed with enhancing community outcomes. As a result of a recent change within their procurement function, they are seeking several experienced strategic sourcing professionals to join their team and lead complex strategic sourcing projects that will truly make a difference. Your new role With strong executive support, you will be responsible for the delivery of complex strategic sourcing projects, from scope creation through to contract execution - with particular responsibility for high value, high risk procurement activities. Key roles and responsibilities include:
Lead, undertake and manage each stage of the procurement process including market research, mapping requirements, scoping market approaches and developing market documents, managing bid processes, bid evaluations, developing contracts, leading tender evaluation teams and conducting supplier negotiations
Develop and maintain relationships with broad groups of organisational stakeholders to ensure strategic sourcing approaches are aligned with broader organisational priorities
Aligning sourcing approaches with relevant Victorian Government policies, including adhering to the Victorian Government Purchasing Board guidelines and the use of relevant State Purchase Contacts (where relevant)
What you'll need to succeed To be successful in this role, you will be able to demonstrate broad sourcing capability, with the ability to lead and manage multi-million dollar sourcing events independently, across a broad range of goods, services and technology. This role is really purposed towards someone who has operated in a highly strategic sourcing role, and while Victorian Government experience is not necessarily mandatory, a healthy appreciation of governance and compliance is an absolute necessity. Given the broad scope of this organisation's spend, being category agnostic with the ability to engage with and deliver for a broad groups of stakeholders with diverse needs is essential.
