Qualifications & experience
Minimum 3 years working experience as a Painter.
Must have worked in new constructions at least for 2 years.
Tasks & responsibilities
- Site and surface preparation including patching plasterwork, woodwork by applying fillers and sanding.
- Scaffolding ensuring and adhering to the safety requirements. Placing drop sheets, protecting floor coverings.
- Mixing and matching paints. Selecting appropriate types of paints for the required application.
- Applying wallpapers to surfaces and trimming edges as per the project specifications.
- Applying selected paints to ceilings, walls, timber frames, doors, windows, and exterior surfaces as per the project specifications and the most appropriate applicator (brush, rollers, spray).
- Some repair work may be required to frames and floorcoverings.
- Adhere to occupational health and safety guidelines and clean the site post work completion.

Certificate III in Painting and Decorating is an added benefit.
Salary - A$70,000 - A$80,000
Working hours: 38 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Usually from 8.00am to 4:00pm,however earlier or later start times may be required depending on the worksite (to workaround other trades persons).
