Local to Emerald About the Client Kestrel mine is located 40km north of Emerald in Queenslands Bowen Basin, and is one of the worlds largest producing metallurgical coal mines. Kestrel mine has been in operation since 1992 and has an approved life of mine until 2033 and reserves to 2046 with the potential to increase further. Kestrel Coal Resources has operated the mine since 2018 and was awarded the Australian Mining Monthly (AMM) Mine of the Year in 2019. About the Role We are currently seeking applications for Mechanical Fitter apprenticeships at Kestrel mine starting in January 2025.
