The Mackay’s Marketing has an opportunity for an experienced Food Technology Manager to join the team at our Processing Centre located in Tully, Queensland.
About the Position
Reporting to the General Manager Operations (Mackays Marketing), the Food Technology Manager duties will include but are not limited to the following:
Oversee continuous improvement activities throughout the operation.
Plan, organize, and coordinate all human, material, and equipment resources to maximize productivity and efficiency.
Set up and monitor cost reduction and production improvement targets.
Manage technical compliance with legislative requirements.
Mentor and lead employees, developing succession plans.
Position Requirements
The successful candidate will be team orientated with the ability to prioritise challenging work demands whilst ensuring a commitment to WHS Policies and Procedures.
You will need to demonstrate:
Teriaty qualification in Food Science or similar
A thorough knowledge of food processing/manufacturing, including product development, processing, labelling and packaging, within a medium to large food processing/manufacturing environment.
Proficient in knowledge and interpretation of regulatory standards, including HACCP and FSSC2200 Quality Management Systems.
A minimum of 10 years’ experience hands-on experience in the food manufacturing industry in product development or a similar role.
High organisational, analytical and decision-making skills.
