Key Responsibilities:
• Undertake commissioning works of new automated control installations, including system testing, verification, and optimisation.
• Ensure that BMS systems are installed and configured according to design specifications, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
• Generate commissioning reports and documentation to validate system performance and compliance.
• Repair or replace malfunctioning or faulty components and equipment, including controllers, relays, valves, and wiring, to restore functionality.
• Interact professionally with clients, building owners, facility managers, and other stakeholders to provide updates on service, maintenance, and commissioning activities.
• Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations governing BMS systems installation, operation, and maintenance.
Key Skills Requirements:
• Demonstrated experience in commissioning electrical and electronic BMS systems, including applied product knowledge in Tridium Niagara N4, Honeywell, Distech, and Schneider.
• Proven experience in installing, testing, connecting, and maintaining electrical, and electronic equipment, wiring, and control systems.
• Interpretation of wiring diagrams and functional descriptions to determine control sequences and intended operation.
• Practical experience with electrical and electronic test instruments, to validate, calibrate, trace and diagnose faults.
• Proven experience in fault finding and troubleshooting.
• Installation/fit-off of motor control panels and associated controllers, relays, valves, and wiring.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to work independently and adapt to changing project requirements.
Key Requirements:
• Minimum 3-5 years experience in the automation and HVAC industries.
• Valid electrical trade qualification/license OR ability to acquire valid electrician's (A Grade) licence.
• Demonstrated experience in commercial/industrial building automation and management industry.
• Proven experience and knowledge of, and a background in, computers, networking and industry protocols such as BACnet, Modbus and LON
• Demonstrated experience in commissioning BMS systems, including troubleshooting software code.
• Knowledge of software products, i.e. Tridium N4, MS Office suite, MS-Visio and Autocad.
• Valid driver's license.
• Industry White Card.
• Ability to gain necessary police and defence clearances.
