The Opportunity
Civmec are currently seeking a Serviceperson Mechanic to join our ever-growing team, on the Iron Bridge Project for the SMPE&I Process Plant Construction - Dry Plant, recently awarded in the Pilbara Region of WA. This role will be FIFO from Perth, with an immediate start and long term ongoing opportunities on this and other newly awarded projects.
This role will be FIFO from all Australian Capital cities.
The Project
The Iron Bridge Project is a Fortescue Metals Group Ltd (FMG) and Formosa Steel IB Pty Ltd (Formosa) Joint Venture (JV) Project with the site located near Marble Bar, approximately 145 km South of Port Hedland in the Pilbara region of WA.
Civmec’s Scope for the Iron Bridge Project SMPE&I includes the installation of the Dry Plant including the structural, mechanical, module installation and hook-up, piping, electrical and instrumentation/controls activities required for the Project.
Duties and Responsibilities
Experience with heavy diesel fitting including classified plant (EWPs, Scissor lifts, cranes)
Background in auto electrical works beneficial
Servicing of all plant required
Previous experience in FIFO preferred
About You
Point of hire for the project will be Perth WA
If you are not WA based, flights will be provided to you from the closest Australian Capital City to your usual place of residence
Australian Recognised Trade Certificate in Diesel Mechanic/Automotive Technician/Mechanical Fitting
Nationally recognised Construction Safety Awareness Card
In-depth knowledge of diagnostic equipment and mechanical systems
Strong attention to detail with an aptitude for problem-solving
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Physically fit
Hold current drivers’ licence
