We are currently seeking dedicated individuals to join our Eligibility Team. As a member of this team, you will play a crucial role in upholding workers' rights to long service leave across the building and construction, contract cleaning, and community services industries. Overview At QLeave, we are a values-driven organisation committed to promoting fairness, accountability, and respect for human rights. As a statutory body entrusted with administering portable long service leave schemes, we recognise the importance of accurate assessments and meticulous record-keeping to ensure that workers receive the benefits they deserve. As part of the Eligibility Team, you will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of QLeave's register by conducting thorough assessments of worker and employer registration applications. Your attention to detail will be paramount as you navigate complex legislative provisions to determine eligibility and accurately communicate outcomes to scheme participants. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to engage with stakeholders, respond to inquiries, and provide education on QLeave's services and obligations. Your ability to communicate effectively and empathetically will be instrumental in fostering positive relationships with scheme participants and addressing any concerns or complaints that arise. Your contribution Using your understanding and experience in processing assessments you will:

assess worker and employer registration applications
notify scheme participants of the successful outcome of their application for registration
provide written communication on negative assessment outcomes, based on legislative provisions, to employers and workers
complete assessments of service credits received by scheme participants
provide accurate information to applicants
respond to complaints received from workers of the schemes and request additional information if required
liaise with scheme participants to request additional information in order to assess the eligibility of their application
process applications to support the accuracy of the register
provide accurate and timely advice and education to scheme participants about QLeave's services and their obligations
be on a rotating phone roster responding to customer enquiries seeking advice or providing information
any other tasks as directed from time to time as directed by your supervisor

This position reports to the Supervisor, Eligibility. What we are looking for QLeave appointments are merit-based and will be assessed by looking at what you have done previously-the knowledge, skills and experience you have built, your potential for development, and your personal qualities. For this role, we will consider your:

ability to apply your understanding of legislation, policies, procedures and standards to guide decision making
ability work flexibly to support a team
demonstrated ability to make decisions
clear and concise communication style with the ability to use multiple channels
have, or can quickly acquire, detailed knowledge of the schemes QLeave administers
