Who we are The role of the Biosecurity, Operations and Compliance Group includes operational, policy and science aspects of biosecurity, as well as departmental compliance and enforcement matters and collaboration with First Nations people. The group includes 7 divisions and around 3,000 staff, which together work closely with domestic and international stakeholders to prevent, respond to, and recover from the pests and diseases that threaten our economy and environment. Our priority is to lower biosecurity risks to Australia and assist industry to accelerate towards a $100 billion agricultural sector by 2030.
