As part of a multi-disciplinary team, the Principal Inspector (Construction) will have a construction focus and work with industry to improve health and safety in Queensland workplaces. You'll implement the Best Practice Review of Workplace Health and Safety Queensland and ensure we meet the expectations of compliance and enforcement that the community expects of us as a regulator.

Workplace Health and Safety Queensland (WHSQ) enforces work health and safety laws, investigates workplace fatalities, serious injuries, prosecutes breaches of legislation and educates employees and employers on their legal obligations.
We're responsible for improving work health and safety in Queensland and helping to reduce the risk of workers being killed or injured on the job. We do this by making sure work health and safety laws are followed, investigating work-related fatalities and serious injuries, educating workplaces on ways to comply with legislation, taking legal action
