SANTINT Australia represents the local arm of SANTINT, situated in Noble Park, Victoria. Serving the markets of Australia, New Zealand, and the Pacific islands, our local presence includes warehouse facilities and workshops dedicated to equipment distribution and customer service delivery.
About the Role
We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Engineering Technologist specializing in the tinting and filling machine industry to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will assume responsibility for delivering professional services encompassing pre-sale preparation, installation, maintenance, and repair. Additionally, you will play a pivotal role in testing and analyzing machine performance, providing valuable insights and recommendations for enhancement to the head office's R&D department. This is a full-time position based in Noble Park. Detailed job responsibilities include:
? Ensure cost-effective and efficient equipment design, implementing comprehensive test plans across various equipment to identify potential defects and root causes.
? Collaborate closely with R&D engineers from the head office to troubleshoot issues and devise effective solutions.
? Rectify equipment flaws, propose enhancements, and undertake modifications and installations of equipment components.
? Execute equipment assemblies at customer sites, fostering productive collaboration with customers, end-users, and relevant stakeholders to ensure equipment outcomes surpass expectations.
? Document technical risks and conduct thorough design reviews associated with equipment.
? Conduct rigorous testing to confirm functionality and alignment with project specifications and customer requirements.
? Perform failure analysis, meticulously documenting results and recommending corrective measures.
? Ensure equipment accuracy and efficacy through routine maintenance procedures.
? Proactively identify and address equipment issues, providing timely fixes and liaising with the R&D engineer as necessary.
? Prepare accurate cost and material estimates, and customer quotations for repair jobs.
? Investigate potential fault root causes, propose solutions, and communicate findings to the R&D engineer.
? Deliver high-level technical support and training to the customer service and associated technical support teams.
? Provide technical information and support cross-functionally, attending customer locations and meetings as required.
? Collaborate with the sales team to explore potential sales opportunities and market prospects.
The requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role
- Proficiency in both English and Mandarin is essential to effectively communicate with customers and head office engineers
- Bachelor's degree (honor) or higher in Engineering or a related discipline
- Previous exposure to the tinting and filling machine industry through work experience or academic studies is advantageous
- Demonstrated passion for technology and its potential impact when properly implemented
- Curiosity and a strong desire for continuous learning and professional development
- Self-motivated and capable of performing under pressure
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with exceptional interpersonal abilities
- Strong focus on quality, coupled with outstanding time management and attention to detail
- Ability to collaborate effectively with others and engage in teamwork
- Proficient in quickly interpreting and analyzing technical data
- Open-minded with an outcome-driven approach
- Positive and proactive attitude towards challenges and tasks
Compensation:
Annual rate: $85,000 - $90,000
Super: 11%
