POSITION
We have a full-time role for a Shed Supervisor available in Woopen Creek, QLD, 4871.
SKILLS
The role requires you to have at least a Certificate IV or higher qualification and at least 1-year relevant job experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The role as the Shed Supervisor is to supervise the daily tasks of the banana packing shed and assist Farm Management with business operations.
POSITION DUTIES
You will need to undertake the following tasks:
• Consultancy and planning with manager to meet the business objectives.
• Delegating, organising tasks and supervising farm hands.
• Ensuring staff have the required tools and equipment for scheduled tasks.
• Supervising the hanging, cutting, de-handing and washing of banana bunches.
• Training new staff as to required duties for their position.
• Monitoring staff hours, breaks and performance and reporting any staff grievances.
• Monitoring packing line to ensure smooth flow and no delays between stations.
• Overseeing the work of farm hands and suggesting improvements and changes.
• Ensuring pack banana boxes are stacked, labelled, and palletised for transport.
• Inspecting farming equipment, ensuring routine maintenance is carried out and arranging repairs are made when necessary.
• Ensuring that waste materials are disposed of correctly.
• Ensuring and enforcing compliance with food safety, biosecurity, and OH&S.
• Additional duties may be required from time to time as required by the business.
SALARY
The position attracts a salary from $60,000 - $70,000 based on your experience.
