Our client based in Truganina is global logistics and supply chain company that operates both freight management and contract logistics. They offer a broad range of end-to-end, customized solutions in supply chain logistics, air, ocean, ground and finished vehicle transport worldwide
Whilst the site operations run a 24/5, they are currently seeking a Permanent Full-Time Day Shift Cross-Dock Operations Manager to join their team. If you have Cross-Dock experience and knowledge this may be the role for you!
Key Responsibilities:


Oversee day-to-day operations of the cross-dock facility.
Supervise and lead a team of cross-dock supervisors and operators.
Manage inbound and outbound freight flow efficiently.
Coordinate with transportation providers to ensure timely arrivals and departures.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
Monitor inventory levels and manage stock movement.
Address operational challenges and resolve issues promptly.
Optimize layout and workflow for maximum efficiency.
Implement and enforce quality control measures.
Collaborate with other departments, such as warehouse, transportation, and customer service, to ensure seamless operations.
Analyze performance metrics and implement improvements as needed.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement and teamwork within the cross-dock team.
Handle administrative tasks related to cross-dock operations, such as scheduling, budgeting, and reporting.
Operating the forklift to load & unload trucks

About you:

Previous Cross-Dock knowledge & experience is a must
Demonstrated comprehension of Australian transport regulations and compliance standards.
Proficiency in budgeting and cost management.
Experience in reading, understanding, and interpreting enterprise agreements, and supporting ER/IR matters.
3PL Warehouse Experience
Proficiency in transport management systems and route optimisation tools
Advanced computer skills - knowledge in MS Office/WMS/ERP systems would be ideal
Sound analytical and problem-solving skills
Current Valid LF Forklift License
Current Victorian (or Australian Equivalent) Drivers License
Good communication skills (reading and writing)
Must be available to work 5 days a week
