About the Role
At Ascend Health, our therapists collaborate with university students functioning as disability support workers and carers. Our unique model empowers students to evolve from support workers to therapy assistants and ultimately, therapists.
As a therapist, you'll work a minimum of 4 days a week, with a minimum of 3 community sessions every day. In between, dedicate time to coaching and training students and managing community support services. Enjoy a hands-on role in member management (we call our patients members), teaching your methods to students, and contributing to community, disability, personal care, and mental health services.
Mandatory Qualifications ?
Bachelor's Degree in Speech Pathology.
SPA Registration.
Working with Children Check.
National Police Clearance.
Annual Flu Vaccination.
NDIS Worker Screening.
COVID-19 Vaccination.
Driver’s License.
Remuneration Breakdown ??
New Grads: $81K to $109K + Super + $2K PD + Salary Packaging
Standard Therapists: $100K to $141K + Super + $2K PD + Salary Packaging
Remuneration includes commissions and allowances from standard (caseloads between 3.5 to 5 daily billable).
Salaries increase at set milestones every few months.
Commission for billables with percentage increase based on experience.
Flexible work arrangements, travel allowance, and company laptop/phone provided.
Time split: 70% community intervention, 30% training/guiding support team.
Access to custom-built software, future career pathways, and salary opportunities.
Parking allowances or reimbursement, leave purchasing arrangements, and work-from-home options.
