Our client based in Truganina is global logistics and supply chain company that operates both freight management and contract logistics. They offer a broad range of end-to-end, customized solutions in supply chain logistics, air, ocean, ground and finished vehicle transport worldwide
Whilst the site operations run a 24/5, they are currently seeking a Permanent Full-Time Day Shift Transport Manager to join their team. If you have experience as Transport Manager or Transport Supervisor this may be the role for you!
Key Responsibilities:

Lead a team of fleet controllers, local drivers, and subcontractors, ensuring adherence to policies and standards.
Provide guidance and support to optimise performance.
Manage all transport operations, including resource allocation and route planning, to meet service agreements and customer needs.
Ensure fleet maintenance and safety compliance.
Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors, ensuring service level adherence.
Ensure compliance with industry regulations and safety standards. Conduct audits to address safety and compliance issues.
Establish KPIs to measure driver performance and transportation efficiency.
Analyze data for operational improvements and ensure it is all entered into Computer Transport Systems
Address operational challenges promptly, resolving conflicts and mitigating issues.
Responsible for transportation spend and contributing to profit objectives, implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality.
Facilitate communication and collaboration among teams for seamless operations.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives, identifying areas for enhancement and implementing best practices. Collaborate with process improvement teams as needed.
Run daily reports for stakeholders within the business

About you:

Previous Transport Manager experience is a must - 5 years experience
Management experience - ideally in a large team environment
3PL Warehouse Experience
Proficiency in transport management systems and route optimisation tools
Advanced computer skills - knowledge in MS Office/WMS/ERP systems would be ideal
Sound analytical and problem-solving skills
Budgeting and cost management skills.
Current Valid LF Forklift License
Current Victorian (or Australian Equivalent) Drivers License
Good communication skills (reading and writing)
Must be available to work 5 days a week
